We will be staging the latest Narasingham drama for the third time at the Sree Maha Mariamman Ladang Dunedin Temple at Taman Batu Tiga Bangi on May 10, 2024. This is a continuation of our traditional Indian Puranic drama experiment started in the 1980’s at Cheras 2 1/2 miles DBKL Quarters.

My birthplace in Cheras 2 1/2 mls is seeing a lot of focus from its former residents lately. Hardly any of the residents live in the area excepting those few who bought apartment units in the massive residential development that has overtaken our beloved home ground. It is another example of a sellout by the City Council / Federal Government and shortsighted political leaders. These leaders idea of development is to tear down the old and profiteer from it and make a quick buck including in bribes and commissions. Malaysia is the land of corruption and all good practises of culture, heritage and good values go down the drain in favour of profits. Developers are given a field day to rake in the profits just because they are good bribers. The only surviving landmarks of our heritage are the three temples and a Tamil school. The temples are divided by the squabbling of uncouth and ignorant residents fighting for authority. Instead of pooling the resources of the residents who now number thousands including the new generation, the uncouth individuals are creating divisions and stopping all good work. The rightful leaders are sidelining themselves unable to handle the negativity of the uncouth rabble rousers. But ultimately the good will prevail. There is hope.
