China's one child policy

China's one child policy

I was in Sichuan, China in September on a seven day trip. It was my first trip to China. All I can remember from this trip is the pressing feeling of Big Brother watching over this country. Whether the country is better off due to this or not is not for me to judge. While the country (based on Guangzhou and Chengdu where I visited) appears well managed there is a feeling that humanity as we know it in the free world is a rare commodity here. The people while free from the pangs of poverty are dying from the free choice that God had presented them with in this material realm. Of course God is also missing here that is in his manifestation as the ruler of the hearts of mankind. Could this be due to the fact that the Chinese have been deprived of the third hunger – the need to procreate here. The one child policy tightly enforced in this country is unimaginable for people of the free world. Someone here is trying to play God. It is also unimaginable that this farce has been going on for the past 60 years.
